Project launched to preserve Clint's works

Kochi: In an effort to preserve the works of Indian child prodigy Edmund Thomas Clint, a project called 'Clint Memorabilia' has been launched by leading digital content developer Invis Multimedia to archive thousands of drawings and paintings of the late art genius using state-of-the-art digital archiving technology.

The project was formally launched here by Dr Venu V, Director-General, National Museum of India.

Clint, who lived only for 2522 days, had created more than 25,000 pictures with pencil, crayons, ball pens and water colour.

'Clint Memorabilia', the project envisaged by Invis Multimedia as a social venture, aims to preserve these invaluable artworks, drawn or painted 30 years ago.

Extensive online fund raising campaigns, by publicizing artifacts and souvenirs with Clint's pictures among a wider global audience, will be conducted for the successful running of project.

Clint Memorabilia largely aims at passing down Clint's work to various generations, while igniting children's creativity and helping them to think differently.

Edmund Thomas Clint, the only child of Moolapparambil Joseph and Chinnamma, started drawing pictures at an early age. The young genius suffered from a serious illness since the age of 3 and died a month before he turned seven.

Clint's life and works have earned global acclaim. Seven books and two documentaries have been created till date based on his life.
