Let Biju submit his evidence: K.M Mani

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Congress (M) supremo and Finance Minister K.M Mani Wednesday dared Biju Ramesh to prove his allegations in the bar bribery case.

“Let him submit the evidence before the Vigilance team,” Mani told reporters.

The Finance Minister was responding to reporters’ queries on the news reports that Biju Ramesh is likely to submit his evidence before the Vigilance team investigating the bar bribery charges today.

On Tuesday, Bar Owners Association vice president Biju Ramesh had stated that he would hand over the ‘evidence’ against Mani to the Vigilance on Wednesday.

The bar bribe scam, which pertains to graft allegation against Mani levelled by Biju Ramesh, took a murkier turn Monday with TV channels airing telephone tapes in which Pillai asked hotelier Biju Ramesh to go ahead with his graft charge against Mani.

Unruffled by reports that Kerala Congress (M), led by Finance Minister K M Mani, wanted the KC(B) to be expelled from UDF, Pillai yesterday had dared the front leadership to take action against his party.

Addressing a press meet here, Pillai said he would welcome if he was ousted from the UDF but asserted that he would be more powerful once he was out of the coalition.
