P K Kunhalikutty to lead Muslim League’s Kerala Yatra

Malappuram: Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), the biggest ally of the UDF government in the State, has decided to take out a Kerala Yatra to explain the party policies ahead of the Assembly elections.

The party’s national treasurer P K Kunhalikutty will lead the yatra. The decision in this regard was taken in a leadership meet held here on Sunday.

The schedule of the yatra will be announced later.

The meeting was convened by state president Panakkad Hyderali Shihab Thangal to discuss the debacle the party faced in a few pockets in the recent local body polls. The meet also discussed the tussle between the party and the Congress in Malappuram district and the current issues the UDF government is facing in the State.

The meet was attended by five ministers, MPs and MLAs of the party.
