Truth will triumph ultimately, says Mani in Assembly

Thiruvananthapuram: Former Finance Minister K.M Mani Friday said in the Assembly that he was pained at the way the High Court made remarks against him without hearing his part in the bar bribery case.

“The truth will triumph ultimately. The court did not say I’m a guilty. I resigned from the cabinet to uphold the values I cherished,” Mani said.

“I’ve nothing to comment on the ongoing probe into the case,” he said.

Soon after Mani’s remarks, the LDF Opposition member created uproar in the Assembly alleging that Mani violated the Assembly procedures.

The Speaker, however, ruled that the members who have resigned from the cabinet can make their remarks in the Assembly as per the rule 64.
