Kalpetta: Retired Syrian Church Bishop and former Malabar Diocese Bishop Emeritus Dr. Yuhanon Mar Philexinos passed away at a private hospital in Kalpatta on Wednesday due to age related ailment. He was 74.
Yuhanon Mor Philexinos obtained MA in economics from Sri Venkateswara University (Thirupathi). His basic theological training was at the Orthodox Theological Seminary in Kottayam.
He later joined the New York Theological Seminary and obtained his STM degree.
