3 more elephant carcasses recovered from Edamalayar forest

Kothamangalam: The Forest Department probing the Edamalayar elephant poaching case has recovered the carcass of three more elephants near Athirappilly forest range.

The carcasses were found during a search by the probe team.

With this, the total number of elephants killed by the poachers has reached eleven.

Meanwhile, Kerala Forest Department has decided to seek a CBI probe into the elephant poaching case. 

Sources said the Forest Department would write a letter to the Central government in this regard.
