Won’t leave Kerala Congress (M), says P C George

Kottayam: Kerala Congress (M) vice chairman P C George on Sunday said he would not leave the party despite party supremo K M Mani’s demand to sack him from the post of government Chief Whip.

“I won’t leave the party. K M Mani can leave if he wants. Kerala Congress (M) is not a party now, it is a confederation. So Mani does not have any authority to ouster me,” George said.

The rebel leader also said the Kerala Congress is a party without a constitution.

“I will cast my vote for the UDF candidate in the Rajya Sabha polls. I will request the Speaker for an open-vote as I will be looked at with suspicion if any UDF legislature casts the vote for the Opposition candidate,” he said.

George added nobody should try to scare him in the name of disqualification as it is applicable only to those who vote for the Opposition candidate.
