I take moral responsibility for errors in SSLC results: Abdurabb

Thiruvananthapuram: Education Minister P.K. Abdurabb Friday said he took moral responsibility for the errors in the SSLC results.

“There was a slight mistake. I take moral responsibility for the errors in the results,” the Minister told reporters.

“I’ve not yet decided to resign over the incident,” he said while responding to reporters' queries.

Meanwhile, Director of Public Instructions Gopalakrishna Bhatt has said the corrected and updated version of the results of the SSLC examinations of 2015 will not be published today.

"The announcement has been postponed as more complaints lodged have to be solved. If tried to announce the results in a hurry, errors happened earlier may recur again," he said.

Discrepancies have cropped up in the SSLC results announced on April 20 following which Education Department has decided to verify and announce the results afresh.

The issue has triggered a controversy with Opposition slamming the government over the manner in which SSLC examination results were handled.
