Pillai approaches Vigilance with corruption allegations against ministers

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Congress(B) chairman R Balakrishna Pillai, who raised corruption allegations against two UDF ministers, has now filed a complaint with the Vigilance director seeking a probe into the matter.

Pillai filed a written complaint on Saturday raising corruption charges against Finance Minister K.M. Mani and Civil Supplies Minister Anoop Jacob.

He has also attached a letter he wrote to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy raising the same matter on September 27, 2014, along with the complaint.

In the complaint, Mani has been accused of accepting bribe from bakery and quarry owners and rice merchants. The charges against Anoop are related to the appointments to Consumerfed.
