Liquor policy: SC defers hearing of bar hoteliers' plea

New Delhi: The Supreme Court Monday postponed to April 20 the hearing of a plea filed by bar owners in Kerala challenging a High Court verdict which upheld the state government's revised liquor policy.

The apex court postponed the hearing after considering the bar owners' claim that they did not receive a copy of the High court order.

The bar owners, in their plea, alleged that the liquor policy which denied licence to bars below five star status was discriminatory.
