Court defers hearing in corruption case against Rahul R Nair

Thrissur: The Thrissur Vigilance Court has fixed Dec 12 as the next date of hearing in a corruption case against senior IPS officer Rahul R. Nair.

The court had ordered an investigation into the allegations of corruption against Rahul R. Nair. The court issued the order on a petition filed by activist P.D. Joseph.

Rahul R. Nair had been removed from the post of District Police Chief, Pathanamthitta following corruption charges.

The IPS officer came under a cloud after a section of granite quarry owners told his supervisory officers that Mr. Nair had demanded money to allow them to operate without impediment.
