New Delhi: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will be meeting with the Congress leaders on Saturday.
Chandy and Excise Minister, K Babu reached Delhi on Friday for the meeting. Sources say that the visit was to update the High Command of the controversial Titanium case and to ensure that there were no dire situations of governance in the state. The Chief Minister is also expected to raise the issues with KPCC president V M Sudheeran in the bar matter.
The vigilance court had ordered a re-investigation against Chandy for the alleged corruption in the setting up of an effluent treatment plant at a state-owned Travancore Titanium Products, one of Kerala's oldest public sector firms.
The Chief Minister had said that he was ready to face any probe and that his actions were with good intentions. The vigilance court had also ordered a probe against Home Minister, Ramesh Chennithala and Minister for Public Works, V K Ibrahim Kunju in the Titanium corruption case.
