Public has distanced from CPI-M, feels M A Baby

Alappuzha: Citing the poor perforce of the CPI-M in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, its politburo member M A Baby on Tuesday said that the common people have distanced from the party.

“The public has distanced from the party. That might be a reason for the debacle the party faced in the recently concluded elections in states like West Bengal,” Baby said while talking at a program held here on Tuesday to commemorate Marxist veteran P Krishna Pillai.

The program was conducted jointly by the CPI-M and the CPI here.

A broad Left front unity is essential. The Communist parties should be ready work in cooperation, Baby added.
