New Delhi: Expressing confidence in upcoming Delhi polls, former Chief Minister of the national capital and ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal said on Tuesday that his party will definitely win the polls, PTI reported.
He said that the contest will be between the “politics of work and politics of abuse” and said that with a win, AAP will form government in the national capital for another term. He said that Delhi people have faith in AAP’s politics of work.
"This election will be between the politics of work and the politics of abuse. The people of Delhi will have faith in our politics of work. We will definitely win," Kejriwal said on X.
Kejriwal also appealed to the Aam Aadmi Party workers to get ready to enter the political battle with full strength and enthusiasm and called them the biggest strength of the party.
On that day, Kejriwal released the party's campaign song for the polls. "Phir Layenge Kejriwal" -- the 3:29-minute song -- highlights AAP's achievements during its tenure in office and aims to strike a chord with voters, emphasising continuity in governance.
Kejriwal said after releasing the song, "We celebrate our elections like festivals, and people wait for our song; now it's out, and people can dance to it."
Taking a dig at the BJP, he added, "I know even BJP leaders will like our song; even they can dance to our song in their rooms."
Chief Minister Atishi and other senior AAP leaders Manish Sisodia, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Gopal Rai and Sanjay Singh, among others, were present at the release.
Kejriwal and AAP leaders have been accusing the BJP of hurling abuses and trying to win the elections without having any chief ministerial candidate and issues.
Assembly polls in Delhi will be held on February 5, and the votes will be counted on February 8. The last date to file nominations is January 17, and the scrutiny of nominations will be done by January 18.
