New Delhi: In a video that surfaced online and went viral, a person, supposedly the newly elected BJP MLA in Delhi, Ravinder Singh Negi, could be seen threatening a minor child. Negi could be seen scolding the boy, who was sitting outside somebody else’s home, The Free Press Journal reported.

The BJP MLA could be seen asking the boy where he lived, and he replied that it was on the neighbouring street. Then, the MLA orders the child not to sit outside somebody else’s house. If he does, the MLA would send him to jail.

The MLA could be heard saying in Hindi that the body would be locked in jail.

Then he asked the boy to tell his friends also not to sit outside somebody else’s house. The boy leaves the scene after that.

The video has gathered a massive response on social media.

An X user wrote, "BJP MLA Ravindra Negi is seen misbehaving and threatening a minor boy saying ‘jail me band garden’ in Delhi. Earlier, he was also seen threatening people with dire consequences if they were seen in the area."

Another X user wrote in Hindi that on one side, there was teacher Avadh Ojha, and on the other side, there was goon Ravi Negi. He said, “… see whom the public chose”.

Another wrote in Hindi that the situation after the BJP's victory in the Delhi elections is that an MLA is threatening an innocent child, and one will be shocked to know the reason. He added that even going out in the streets has become a crime in Delhi.
