New Delhi: A 26-year-old waiter was killed in Ghaziabad after the greasy plates he was carrying brushed guests at a wedding venue.
The incident took place on November 17 at the CGS Vatika guest house on Pusta Road in Ghaziabad.
An argument broke out, following which a group of men brutally thrashed the waiter identified as Pankaj, according to NDTV.
Fearing he was dead, the accused then threw his body into a jungle.
Pankaj's body was recovered the following day and postmortem revealed a deep wound in the head; the police started probe.
The victim's mother told the police that her son had not returned from work at a wedding venue.
The police then found out that Pankaj was hired to work at the guest house through a contractor named Manoj Gupta, a partner at the venue.
It is revealed Manoj was among those assaulted Pankaj at the wedding venue.
Pankaj sustained serious head injuries when he was thrown, the police said.
