UP cop caught on camera planting firearm in Muslim vendor's shop

New Delhi: A team of police has been caught on camera while planting an illegal firearm in a Muslim vendors shop in Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place at Badal Garh village in Uttar Pradesh's Amethi district, where police carried out the act in Gulzar Ahmad's hardware shop in an attempt to frame him in a fake case.

However, when Ahmad told the police about the two CCTV cameras installed in the shop they had to no choice but let him go.

However, the video clip that shows a constable accompanied by other cops planting something in his shop has gone viral through social media.

Meanwhile, Ahmed said that the cops had exerted pressure on him to delete the footage, as told to Navbharat Times.

As per the CCTV footage, the incident took place on 16 March at around 8 pm.
