Siddaramaiah 'shamelessly' exploiting K'ntka treasury for Wayanad: BJP

Bengaluru: Opening a fresh box of hate, BJP MP from Karnataka’s Bengaluru South Tejaswi Surya implied despite being the Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddharamaih, he is more engrossed with issues in Kerala. He said that the Congress CM of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, is exploiting the state treasury as Congress’ ATM.

Surya’s statement came after the Karnataka CM announced the construction of 100 houses in Wayanad for the victims of the deadly landslides that took around 400 lives.

Surya said that the CM is working in the interest of Rahul Gandhi, spending from the state exchequer. A government that failed to provide assistance to the victims of floods in Karnataka is extending aid to Wayanad, Kerala.

“Congress continues to shamelessly exploit Karnataka as its ATM,” Surya wrote on X. “Immediately after @RahulGandhi announces 100 houses in Wayanad, Karnataka CM @siddaramaiah steps in to fulfil his master’s wishes out of state funds.”

“While people of Malnad region in Karnataka are suffering from incessant floods and landslides, Congress Govt. Is missing in action and has failed to disburse compensation to all affected,” Surya claimed.

He further spewed, “Will CM Siddaramaiah take steps to compensate those suffering in Karnataka immediately? Will he be able to prioritise Kannadigas' needs? Will he also provide assistance to other affected states like Uttarakhand?

“If not, he must answer why he was compelled to divert state funds to save his master’s image,” the BJP MP demanded.

However, the BJP leader Tejaswi Surya gathered widespread criticism. Many accused him of using Siddaramaiah’s announcement for political advantages.
