Siddaramaiah demands Yediyurappa's resignation after HC Dismisses BSY's Petition

Bengaluru: After the High Court of Karnataka dismissed CM Yediyurappa's petition seeking rejection of a corruption case,Leader of Opposition in Karnataka Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah has demanded his immediate resignation. He urged senior leaders of the BJP, including the Prime Minister to instruct Yediyurappa to step down from his post.

In a 7 part thread on twitter, Siddaramaiah said, "High court has dismissed Yediyurappa's petition to quash the investigation of KIADB land denotification. Yediyurappa should immediately resign and make way for impartial investigation."

He also called onto PM Narendra Modi's claim of 'Na Khaunga, Na Khane Dunga', a claim that he would not indulge in corruption, nor allow anyone else to indulge in it. He stressed that the allegation made against Chief Minister Yediyurappa is very serious in nature.

The demand for his resignation had been made to ensure a fair and unbiased investigation, which according to him would not be possible unless Yediyurappa steps down from his position of power.
