Muslim League National Secretary C.K. Subair, Assistant Secretary Adv. V.K. Faisal Babu, Youth League National Organiser Adv. Shibu Meeran, National Secretary Secretary C.K. Shakir, Syed Siddique Thangal and P. Muneer are meeting Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, demanding rehabilitation for the victims of the house collapse incident in Elahanga, Bangalore.
Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has assured the Muslim League leadership team of a proper rehabilitation package in the incident related to the demolition of about two hundred houses in Yelahanka, Bangalore, using bulldozers.
This assurance was given during a meeting held at the official residence of the Muslim League in Bengaluru with a delegation of Muslim League representatives, including Muslim League National Secretary CK Subair, Assistant Secretary Adv. Faisal Babu, Youth League National Organizing Secretary, Adv Shibu Meeran, National Secretary CK Shakir, and National Committee Member Syed Siddique Thangal, Bangalore.
Siddaramaiah told the leaders that the final form of the package would be revealed in a meeting tomorrow, which will be attended by ministers and officials, including Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.
Minority Congress Karnataka State Secretary P Muneer was also present.
The League leaders also requested that the news being circulated in this regard and the concerns of humanitarians be brought to the attention of Karnataka, and that better rehabilitation be ensured at the earliest.
Following the Chief Minister's instruction to Karnataka Minority Affairs Minister Sameer Ahmed Khan to visit the incident site along with the League leaders, Minister Sameer Ahmed Khan visited the incident site, Fakir Colony, along with the League leadership team. The leaders, who met the victims who lost their homes and understood the details, also visited the Bengaluru KMCC camp that has been operating here for days.
CK Subair announced that all support will be provided to the victims until a proper rehabilitation package is implemented. Karnataka State Muslim League Vice President Mehboob Baig, Bengaluru District General Secretary Mustafa Ali, Youth League State General Secretary Dastagir Baig, Vice President Ziyaullah Anekal, MSF National Vice President Sirajdeen Nadvi, and Bengaluru KMCC leaders Moidu Maniyur, TC Muneer, and Anees Mohammed also accompanied the leaders.
