Thursday morning, calls about unattended bags and bomb threats were received at two locations in east Delhi.
The first incident was reported from Shahdara, police said.
"A bag containing an unidentified item was found in Shahdara district. At 2.15 p.m. police and firefighters received a bomb threat call. We have located a bag there and are checking it," a police official said.
At the same time, another call relating to an IED was received in New Seemapuri.
"The call is regarding IEDs. We are taking it seriously," said the police official.
In view of the gravity of the situation, police has summoned National Security Guard personnel.
