Gwalior: After the incidents of urination, an attack on a Christian-run school, and a police officer slapping a grieving mother, a video has gone viral on social media depicting another inhumane act in Madhya Pradesh. In the video, a Muslim man is seen being abused and assaulted inside a moving car in the Gwalior district.
In the video shared on Twitter by Muhammad Subair, co-founder of Alt News, a man named Mohsin is seen being beaten up with slippers and forced to lick one of the assailant's feet while the assailant throws vitriol at him.
Subair’s tweet reads “Video from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Golu Gurjar and his friends are seen thrashing Mohsin with slippers and forcing him to lick his feet while abusing him.”
According to reports, the accused individuals had lured the youth into meeting them near the Gwalior collector's office under the pretext of resolving an old dispute. However, upon the victim's arrival, he was coerced into entering a vehicle with the perpetrators, who then proceeded to drive towards the Dabra area.
Within the moving vehicle, the attackers relentlessly beat the helpless youth while subjecting him to derogatory remarks. The distressing video footage shows one of the assailants forcing the victim to lick the sole of his foot, highlighting the extreme level of dehumanization and cruelty inflicted upon the young man.
Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra assured swift action and justice in the case. Local law enforcement authorities have apprehended the two individuals seen in the video, responsible for the physical assault and verbal abuse.
Minister Mishra, addressing the incident, stated, "Two persons, who are seen abusing and beating up a man in a moving vehicle, were arrested. They will be punished in accordance with the law."
