Mumbai fire kills two, injures 13

Mumbai: Fire at the 18th-floor in Tardeo, South Mumbai caused at least two deaths and 13 injuries on Saturday, BMC Disaster Control said.

At about 7.30 in the morning, a fire was noticed in the top part of the Kamla Building.

After the flames quickly spread to the upper floors of the building, the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) responded with fire tenders.

A total of 13 injured people were rescued by MFB teams, of which four were critically injured and were taken to BYL Nair Hospital nearby.

Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar rushed to the spot to supervise the rescue and relief operations.

Two people lost their lives in the fire, and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
