Modi scared of Trump, remote-controlled by Ambani-Adani: Rahul Gandhi

Begusarai: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that he was not only “scared” of US President Donald Trump but also “remote-controlled” by big business interests.

Addressing an election rally in Bihar’s Begusarai district, Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, accused the Prime Minister of lacking true courage despite his claims of strength. “Having a huge chest does not make you strong. Just look at Mahatma Gandhi — he had a frail build but fought against the British, the superpower of his time,” Gandhi said.

“In contrast, Narendra Modi, who boasts of a 56-inch chest, got a panic attack when Trump called him during Operation Sindoor. The military conflict with Pakistan ended within two days. He is not just scared of Trump but is also being remote-controlled by Ambani and Adani,” he alleged.

The Congress leader further claimed that the Modi government’s major policy decisions, including the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and demonetisation, were designed to “destroy small businesses and benefit big corporations.”

“Our approach is different. We want to strengthen small enterprises and replace the ‘Made in China’ labels on your phones and T-shirts with ‘Made in Bihar’,” Gandhi said, stressing his party’s focus on local economic empowerment.

Criticising the Prime Minister’s political tactics, Gandhi alleged that Modi “can do anything for votes.” He remarked, “Ask him to do yoga, and he will do a few asanas.”

He further promised that if the INDIA bloc came to power in the state, it would form a government for every section of society, “not for any particular caste.”

Gandhi also accused Modi of diverting public attention from pressing issues. “The Prime Minister wants the youth to keep watching reels so that they don’t ask questions about real issues like unemployment,” he said.
