Livestreaming Korean woman YouTuber harassed in Mumbai, 2 held

Mumbai: Police in Mumbai arrested two men for harassing a woman YouTuber from South Korea touring the city on Tuesday night.

The accused have been identified as Mobeen Chand Mohammad Shaikh (19) and Mohammad Naqeeb Sadrealam Ansari (20).

Mhyochi was livestreaming with hundreds watching her when one of the men came up offering a hitchhike on to her his scooty.

When she turned down the offer, the man grabbed by her hand before forcefully trying to kiss her on her cheek.

The YouTuber resisted his advances and immediately began to walk away saying "Time to go home".

Mhyochi shared the video on Twitter and wrote, "Last night on stream, there was a guy who harassed me. I tried my best not to escalate the situation and leave because he was with his friend. And some people said that it was initiated by me being too friendly and engaging the conversation. Makes me think again about streaming."

The accused, along with another person on a scooty, followed her and he could be heard saying in the video "Come, this seat."

Woman told him that her house was nearby and would go on her own, according to a report in India Today.

As the video went viral, Mumbai police contacted the YouTuber for details alongside arresting the accused.
