Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal chief and former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav on Thursday compared the Nitish Kumar government with Coronavirus.
"There are some similarities between Corona and Bihar government, Both are dangerous for public life and both are invisible (not visible)" tweeted Lalu Prasad in Hindi.
The tweet comes at a time when the health infrastructure in the state is struggling to cope with the deadly second wave of Corona infections.
Earlier in the day, Yadav had attacked the Nitish government over reports of bodies of Corona victims found floating in the Ganga river in Buxar.
"While they were alive they did not get medicine, oxygen, beds and treatment. Now after death, no shrouds, wood, and the ground where they could be cremated. Dead bodies were thrown into the Ganges. Dogs are eating corpses...Where are you taking this country and humanity?" he tweeted.
Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of Lalu Prasad Yadav also criticized the government. While appreciating the extension the lockdown by 10 days he also asked the government to provide food to the poor, proper treatment for patients in hospitals and check the sprialling prices of items of daily necessity such as fruits, vegetables and medicines.
