Karnataka police arrest a gang selling leopard skin

The Karnataka Police has arrested a gang of five people for selling leopard skin and body parts. Severed legs of the animal were seized from the accused. A single barrel gun and bike used in hunting were also recovered.

According to the police, the gang was hunting the leopard in the Hunsur Wildlife Zone that falls under the jurisdiction of Nagarhole National Park. The gang was trying to sell the body parts near Kademanuganahalli when they were arrested.

One of the gang members is a resident of Abbur, and the others are tribals. All five have been sent to judicial custody.
