Bengaluru/New Delhi: Noted Kannada TV actor Sampath J Ram passed away at his house in Bengaluru's Nelamangala on Saturday allegedly by suicide.
The sudden demise of the 35-year-old actor left the Kannada small screen industry in shock.
Rajesh Dhruva, an actor friend of Ram’s, confirmed the news of Ram’s death in a Facebook post that said ‘We do not have the strength to bear your parting. So many movies are yet to be made’.
Although it is not yet known what led the actor to the extreme, The Economic Times reported that he was upset over not getting enough opportunities.
The actor’s family has made no official statement regarding the death yet.
Sampath J Ram emerged as a noted actor in TV series and movies including ‘Agnisakshi’ and ‘ Sri Balaji Photo Studio’, according to NDTV.
His Agnisakshi co-star Vijay Suriya reportedly said Samapth was in wait for good offers.
‘I did not expect anything like this to happen in his life. He was looking forward to good opportunities as an actor. He wanted to grow heights in his career and was very ambitious,’ Surya was quoted as saying.
The actor’s body has been removed to a hospital in Nelamangala and will later be taken to his hometown of NR Pura for funeral.
