Kangana meets Israel's Ambassador, affirms 'Hindu nation stands with Israel’

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut met with Israel's ambassador to India, Naor Gilon, in Delhi, expressing solidarity amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine. In the meeting, Kangana asserted that India, as a 'Hindu nation,' stands with Israel in its fight against what she referred to as 'radical Islamic terrorism.'

In a video shared on social media, Kangana drew parallels between the Hindu struggle during Mughal rule and the Israeli struggle for a dedicated nation, stating that India has endured 'Hindu genocide' for centuries.

The actress asserted, "We as a Hindu nation stand with Israel’s cause," emphasizing that both nations share a common history of facing violence and brutality.

Kangana further portrayed Israel as an underdog in its battle against the broader 'Islamic republic.' She credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for extending support to Israel, stating, "Our Prime Minister always supported the underdogs, and I think that’s where his heart is."

Ambassador Naor Gilon, in response, acknowledged the emotional backing Israel receives from India, particularly on social media. While expressing gratitude for the moral support, Gilon noted that Israel does not currently require material assistance but values the solidarity shown by India, attributing Prime Minister Modi's tone-setting role in fostering the bilateral relationship.

Kangana shared images of the meeting on social media, describing it as "a very soulful meeting" and expressing hope for Israel's victory in the battle against terrorism.

Kangana positioned herself as a vocal advocate for a Hindu-centric stance in international relations amid the conflict. The actress's assertion that India stands with Israel's cause further stirred the pot, adding a layer of complexity to India's foreign policy dynamics.

Kangana organized a special screening of her upcoming movie, Tejas, which revolves around the 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai's Taj. The screening was attended by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and post-viewing, the Chief of Defence Staff of the Indian Armed Forces, Gen Anil Chauhan, presented a symbolic fighter plane-shaped brooch to the film's director, Sarvesh Mewara.
