JD(U) J&K unit urges Nitish Kumar to reconsider BJP alliance

Patna: The Jammu and Kashmir unit of the Janata Dal (United) expressed its dissatisfaction with the alliance in the Centre and urged the party’s national president, Nitish Kumar, to reconsider the partnership with the BJP at the Centre.

JD(U) state general secretary Vivek Bali stated, “The actions of the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir have compelled us to appeal to our national leader Nitish Kumar to rethink our involvement in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).”

Bali added that the JD(U) has been working to reintegrate Islamic scholars in Kashmir into the mainstream, but the BJP has allegedly been hindering these efforts.

“We are striving to bring these Islamic scholars back into the system so they can contribute to nation-building. We cannot exclude them, but the BJP continually creates obstacles,” Bali said.
