Hyderabad: A Zomato delivery agent on horseback was seen in a video trotting down a busy street in the city, catching people’s eyes.
The mounted man carried out food delivery creating a flutter on social media, The News Minute reported.
The agent was seen clad in the signature red Zomato uniform with a delivery bag bouncing on his shoulders.
The caption to the video, uploaded by X user ‘Arbaaz The Great, suggests he chose horse over two-wheelers due to long queues at petrol pumps.
Long queues were reported at several petrol stations in the city following strike by truck drivers who were protesting a new law for hit-and run cases.
The protest fueled rumours of potential fuel shortage triggering panic buying on Tuesday in several cities including Hyderabad.
Many on social media praised the mounted man for his resourcefulness and adaptability.
At least some people humorously asked whether the horse ride would impact on delivery times.
Despite the video went viral, Zomato has not yet commented on the incident.
