New Delhi: People above the age of 18 years will be made eligible for COVID vaccination from May 1 as the Centre reportedly announced this after a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.
Amid the rising COVID cases in the country, PM Modi held series of meetings with top officials to churn out measures to tackle the new virus threat. Implying the importance of vaccination, terming it the biggest weapon, PM urged doctors to encourage people to get vaccinated.
The government announced that the vaccination drive will be held as earlier. Coronavirus vaccines will be free of cost at all government-run COVID centres, while private hospitals can "transparently declare" a self-set cost for the vaccine.
Covid-19 Vaccination Phase 3: How to Register
1. Visit the official website of CoWIN cowin.gov.in
2. Enter your 10-digit mobile number or Aadhaar number
3. Enter the OTP received on the mobile number in the given space
4. Once registered, schedule your preferred date and time.
5. Get your COVID-19 vaccination done.
After this, you will get a Reference ID via which you can get your vaccination certificate.

Service Identity Card issued to employees by Central/ State Govt./ Public Limited Companies
The government said procurement, eligibility, administration of coronavirus vaccines are being made flexible. As per the order, vaccine manufacturers would supply 50 per cent of their monthly Central Drugs Laboratory released doses to the Government of India and would be free to supply the remaining 50 per cent doses to state governments and in the open market.
