The Amit Shah Youth Brigade, a little-known fan club based in Gorakhpur, has requested the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) to publish a study book on the political journey of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Responding to the Centre’s forwarding of a request from the Amit Shah Youth Brigade, a little-known fan club, to the NCERT, urging it to consider publishing books on the life and political journey of Home Minister Amit Shah. The request was sent last week for “consideration,” though no official response has been reported.

The petition, submitted by S.K. Shukla, president of the brigade, was forwarded by the Department of school education and Literacy, which operates under the Education Ministry, for “consideration,” according to a report in The Telegraph.

In the petition, Shukla said that books should be written about Shah’s life and contributions, emphasising that many people are unaware of his political journey. He argued that providing these books to educational institutions would help more young people learn about Shah and encourage further research into his life and work.

Shukla also highlighted Shah’s personal sacrifices, noting that despite being born into a wealthy family, he chose to forgo luxury for public service.

Shukla referred to political events, including the reading down of Article 370 and Shah’s role in ensuring national security, as examples of Shah’s dedication to the country. On December 18 last year, Shukla had written to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, requesting that books on Shah’s life be published and distributed to educational institutions.

The move by the Youth Brigade did not go unresponded.  Officials from the education ministry confirmed that the NCERT has been instructed to respond directly to the Youth Brigade and the school education department with its decision on the matter.
