'Even those ate beef could be brought back to Hinduism: RSS leader

Jaipur: General Secretary of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Dattatreya Hosabale said on Wednesday that even those who ate beef could be brought back to Hinduism and "we can't close our doors on them", Asian News International reported.

Hosabale, who was addressing an event in Jaipur, said that the term Hindu has already entered the Indian Constitution and the country. Hinduism is a fact of history, an identity and a culture to which people belong.

He continued that when MS Golwalkar didn't give an exact definition of Hindu, Veer Savarkar explained through his writings that those who consider the land till the Sindhu river as their own are Hindus.

"Golwalkar ji even said that those who have converted to other religions could also be converted back to Hinduism. It might happen that they would have eaten beef under some kind of pressure, but still, we can't close our doors on them. They can still be brought back into Hinduism," ANI quoted Hosabale.

He went on claiming that one needed to open their minds as well as hearts to understand 'Sangh'. He said that Sangh considers the whole 'Hindu society' as its family. It's their duty to bring changes in people and develop a feeling of religion, culture and nationalism and develop as a society. Sangh aims to unite society and make it powerful, he claimed.

Sangh has to work for national unity, empower cow protection and "fight against religious conversions", he claimed.

He also claimed; currently, Sangh is at the central stage, and many in the country are interested to know more about it.
