New Delhi: A man in Delhi’s New Manglapuri area was burned to death after fire from coal brazier in the room engulfed him in the sleep, police said on Thursday.
The victim, identified as Viney Arora was found charred in his room on the ground floor of Anganwari Wali Gali, NDTV reported.
Fatehpur Beri Police on Wednesday evening recovered the body after receiving a PCR call.
Police reportedly found the 36-year-old who worked as a bouncer lying on the flood surrounded by burnt chair, cloth alongside Angeethi (coal brazier).
‘It was found that the door that was latched from inside was broken, and the victim was lying on the floor. The chair and clothes in the room were also damaged by fire,’ police reportedly said.
The experts from the Centralised Accident and Trauma Services (CATS) who arrived at the scene alongside the forensic team declared the victim dead, police said.
As the police are collecting more details, the victim’s body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
