India's leading actress Deepika Padukone is now the brand ambassador of the French luxury house Louis Vuitton. She made her debut at the brand's 2023 Cruise Show in San Diego, California.
She shared a photograph wearing the high-end brand's oversized coat over a striped dress and tanned boots. The look was completed with the iconic LV bag. The actress thanked the brand for welcoming her into the family with love, warmth, and generosity.
The Gehraiyaan actress wrote that her first Cruise Show couldn't have been more perfect. "The seagulls, the setting Sun, the iconic Salk Institute, and Nicolas Ghesquiere's creative brilliance. Thank you, Louis Vuitton, for welcoming me into the family with so much love, warmth, and generosity. I truly couldn't have asked for more. My heart is filled with love and gratitude".
Deepika was announced as the brand's ambassador earlier this week along with Hollywood actor Emma Stone and Chinese actor Zhou Dongyu.
She had said in a statement it speaks to the kind of diversity she hopes to see in the future. "I'm a very practical, pragmatic person in reality, but I keep having to pinch myself because I can't believe this is real".
Speaking of her association with the 167-year-old brand, Deepika said she used to think she will never be able to afford the luxury bag. "When you're 18 and have just started earning, you don't even bother looking into a Louis Vuitton store when you walk past it because you know you're never going to be able to afford it".
Deepika is on another career-high as she is on the jury of the ongoing Cannes Film Festival.
