Mumbai: In an incident where a person was found dead in a bag at the Dadar railway station in Mumbai, police arrested two people who are suspected to have murdered the deceased, Asian News International reported.
Mumbai Police, who caught the suspects, who were identified as Jai Praveen Chavda and Shivjeet Surendra Singh, said that they were carrying the man’s body in the bag after committing the crime. The victim was identified as Arshad Ali Sheikh, a resident of Santacruz.
The body was discovered after the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) were conducting a luggage-checking operation. The caught suspects revealed, only during interrogation, that they killed the person at thePydhunie Police Station jurisdiction.
Police further said that there was a dispute between the accused and the victim over a female friend.
According to the police, the accused murdered the victim on Sunday night, and they were planning to travel by Tutari Express train to dispose of the body. Dadar police had arrested one of them at the railway station itself when the other escaped. However, the second was also caught shortly after.
The primary accused had invited the victim to his house for a party, and during this, they entered into a dispute, which escalated to the victim’s murder. A conflict was there between them over a female friend.

Police then said that both suspects, as well as the victim, are deaf-mutes and communicate using sign language. Police have utilized the help of a sign language expert in the interrogation of the two accused.
