New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi had to face an “out of syllabus’ question during his annual interaction 'Pariksha Pe Charcha’ with students ahead of board examinations.
When a student asked him about criticism he faces from members of opposition parties, PM Modi humorously said that ‘the question is out of the syllabus’.
However he went on to reply that criticism is a Shuddhi Yagna (purification process) for a prosperous democracy, according to NDTV.
At the sixth edition of the “ Pariksha Pe Charcha” Modi interacted with lakhs of students, in between taking questions from them.
Setting criticism apart from blaming, PM Modi asked parents not to pressurize students for marks while advising them to stay focused.
"If you are hardworking and honest, then you should not care about the criticisms because they become your strength," he reportedly told students.
Motivating young minds, he told them to think, analyse, and act, before giving their best to achieve what they aspire for.
He told students that families having expectations are natural but looking for social status is not, as it is unhealthy.
Asking them to learn about time management, he told them to prioritize their work and observe their mothers to learn to manage time.
Touching on the over-use of mobile phones, he asked them to try a ‘digital fasting’, once a week.
Over 38 lakh students registered in Pariksha Pe Charcha, out of which more than 16 lakh are from state boards.
