Coaches of Mumbai-bound train decouple near Bengal’s Uluberia

Kolkata: Authorities in West Bengal said that two coaches of a train headed for Mumbai decoupled on Friday night close to the Uluberia station.

According to them, there have been no reports of injuries because the train was not travelling quickly.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., the two coaches of the 12810 Howrah-Mumbai Mail decoupled in the Birshibpur region.

Senior officials have reached the spot and are assessing the situation, said Aditya Chaudhary, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of South Eastern Railway.

The train would resume its journey as soon as the coupling is restored, he said.
