Bypoll wins people's message to dynastic-castiest parties: Adithyanath

Lucknow: After the Lok Sabha Bypoll in two seats in Uttar Pradesh, where BJP won both sitting Congress seats, Chief Minister Yogi Adithyanath claimed that people made it clear that they will not accept dynastic and casteist parties who endorse communal tensions and criminals, PTI reported.

"The results of by-elections have given a signal about the outcome of the 2024 general elections," he claimed.

The "double engine government", that is, the BJP government in the state as well as in the Centre, has grabbed "double victory" in Uttar Pradesh under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, Adithyanath said.

Speaking at a press conference at the state party headquarters in Lucknow, the CM announced the victory of BJP candidates Ghanshyam Lodhi and Dinesh Lal Yadav' Nirhau' from Rampur and Azamgarh, respectively. Meanwhile, the official declaration of the bypoll result in Azamgarh is yet to come.

The bypolls in Uttar Pradesh were necessitated by the resignations of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and party leader Azam Khan from Azamgarh and Rampur seats, respectively.
