Bomb threat: Moscow-Goa flight gets diverted to Uzbekistan

Panaji: After a bomb threat, a flight from the Russian capital Moscow to Goa in India was diverted to Uzbekistan in the early hours of Saturday, PTI reported, citing a police account.

Scheduled to land in Dabolim airport of Goa at 4:15 am, the flight diverted before it entered Indian airspace after the threat.

The senior official said that the flight (AZV2463) was operated by Azur Air.

He said, "It was diverted after an email was received at 12:30 am by the Dabolim airport director that mentioned a bomb being planted on the plane."

Only two weeks ago, another Goa-bound flight from Moscow made an emergency landing at Gujarat's Jamnagar, which was also after a bomb threat.
