Mumbai: BJP MLA Nitesh Rane is seeing a narco analysis test on Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray in connection with the deaths of actor Sushant Singh Rajput and his manager Disha Salian.
Lok Sabha MP Rahul Shewale of the Eknath Shinde faction levelled allegations against Thackeray linked to the Bollywood deaths. Rane added that Shewale was close to the Thackeray family for a long time and he must be taken seriously.
28-year-old celebrity manager Salian allegedly committed suicide by jumping from a high-rise building in the Malad area of Mumbai on June 8, 2020. 34-year-old Rajput was found hanging at his apartment on June 14, 2020.
Aditya Thackeray told NDTV when asked about the allegations that he doesn't give a dime about these. "Clearly, this government fears a 23-year-old youth. They are shaking."
Yesterday, deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis said the Special Investigation Team (SIT) would investigate the Disha Salian death and appealed to the public for evidence. Rane also alleged that the previous government of Uddhav Thackeray had tampered with evidence. He appealed that the case should be given to the CBI. "The final postmortem report is yet to come and the pages of the entire book are yet to be found, so a Narco test of Aaditya Thackeray must be conducted."
Rane also compared Aaditya Thackeray to Aaftab Poonawala, accused of killing his girlfriend Shradha Walkar and chopping up her body. He said: "It's A for Aaditya and A for Aaftab."
Disha's parents, however, opposed reopening the case and said a lot of investigation has already been done. "Will the SIT bring back our daughter? Why is all this being done? The case is already closed by Mumbai police. A lot of investigations have already been done, then why again? We are living in peace now, then why all this again? We want to ask only one question: will this bring our daughter back? Please let us be at peace. We don't want anything and we don't want to get involved in anything now," they told India Today.
