Mumbai: The Bombay High Court will hear a petition filed by Satish Salian, father of the late Disha Salian, on April 2. The petition seeks the registration of an FIR against Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray and others in connection with Disha’s death. However, Aaditya Thackeray has categorically denied all allegations and claims related to the case.

Satish Salian's petition alleges that his daughter Disha Salian hosted a party at her residence on June 8, 2020, attended by Aaditya Thackeray, Sooraj Pancholi, and Dino Morea. Salian claims there are unanswered questions surrounding her death and has requested the court to direct authorities to register an FIR and conduct a thorough investigation.

Sameer Wankhede, the former NCB officer, has been served a copy of the petition through Satish Salian's advocate. In response, Wankhede's lawyer, Advocate Faiz Merchant, has stated that his client will submit a detailed affidavit to the High Court, addressing all points raised in the petition and providing clarifications on his role in the case.

Sameer Wankhede's affidavit is expected to reveal crucial evidence gathered during his investigation, particularly regarding Rhea Chakraborty and Aaditya Thackeray. Although the affidavit was prepared before the petition was filed, its contents have already been circulated in the media, sparking attention due to the serious allegations made against several high-profile individuals.

The court is expected to review the case in light of Satish Salian’s plea, focusing on concerns surrounding the events leading up to Disha’s death. The outcome of the hearing could mark a significant turning point in the case.

Disha Salian, a former manager of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, died on June 8, 2020, after falling from the 14th floor of a Mumbai high-rise building. The Mumbai Police initially registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR).

Tragically, just six days after Disha Salian's death, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra residence on June 14, 2020. The CBI investigated the actor's death, while the Maharashtra government formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in 2023 to probe Disha Salian's death.

Meanwhile, the Shiv Sena has demanded a CBI investigation into Disha Salian’s death. Party legislators have called for a probe into the role of former Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar, questioning whether undue pressure was exerted on Disha’s family.
