BJP leader gunned down while out for a walk in UP, family alleges political rivalry

Moradabad: Anuj Chaudhary, a BJP figure in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal, was fatally shot outside his Moradabad residence. The 34-year-old leader was attacked by three assailants on a motorbike while conversing with an acquaintance.

Despite rushed medical attention at BrightStar Hospital, Chaudhary succumbed to his injuries.

Chaudhary, an active local politician who recently contested unsuccessfully in the Asmoli block chief elections, had been embroiled in political rivalries.

Family members pointed to opponents as potential culprits. Police have identified Amit Chaudhary and Aniket as suspects, initiating a manhunt and registering a case against four individuals.

Moradabad Police stated that the attack stemmed from personal enmity.
