BJP instils fear and keeps country ever in polarisation: Sonia

Udaipur: Opening her party's Chinta Shivir on Friday here, Sonia Gandhi called out BJP for "instilling fear in the public".

More than 400 delegates from across the nation are meeting in Rajasthan to discuss the Congress' revival and issues the nation is facing today.

Addressing the meeting she accused BJP of constantly 'playing the polarization game".

She said Modi Administration's slogan of maximum governance, minimum government clearly compelling people to live in fear and insecurity.

The Congress interim President said the country was looking at the party and the Congressmen should give one message of unity from here outside, but can speak freely inside the party's various forums.

Sonia Gandhi said she was aware of recent poll defeats, but not nervous as the party will choose the path of struggle despite all the challenges.

Chintan Shivir will focus on rejuvenating the party as well as discussing ways to combat "politics of polarization", before readying itself for the upcoming polls.

The ideas discussed at the meeting would be placed before the CWC meeting in the form of a draft declaration.

Chintan Shivir will draw up a blueprint for the structural changes in the party. The party will implement time-bound 'the Udaipur declaration' alongside preparing itself for 2024 Lok Sabha polls, according to the report.
