Bengaluru: Four men are accused of gang-raping a woman in Bengaluru, leaving her for dead in the centre of the road after the attack. Four males have been detained by the police on suspicion of gang rape and kidnapping.
The incident occurred on March 25 after 9.30 p.m., while the lady was in the National Games Village Complex in Koramangala with her friend, according to the police.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (south-east) C K Baba said, “According to the woman’s complaint, she was with a man and smoking a cigarette. One of the accused objected to it. Within a few minutes, her friend was allegedly threatened and sent from the place. The accused called his three friends, who came to the spot in a car and dragged her into it.”
The men reportedly raped the woman while they were travelling along the Domlur, Ejipura, and Hosur Roads and to numerous other locations until 3.30 am. She complained the following day and stated the event had traumatised her. He said that she was receiving treatment in a hospital.
The arrested suspects were named by a police officer as Vijay, Sridhar, Kiran, and Satish, all of whom were between the ages of 23 and 24. Even though she didn't know them, the investigation indicated that she was familiar with their faces because they all lived in the same area.
