Baba Siddique murder case: Scrap dealer arrested, total arrests now at 10

Mumbai Police's crime branch has arrested a scrap dealer from Navi Mumbai in connection with the murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, bringing the total number of arrests to 10.

The accused, identified as Bhagwat Singh Om Singh, 32, originally from Udaipur, Rajasthan, was apprehended for allegedly providing weapons to the shooters involved in the crime.

Currently residing in Navi Mumbai, Singh was presented before a court, which placed him in police custody until October 26.

This arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into Siddique's fatal shooting on October 12, near the office of his MLA son in Bandra.

Among the arrested individuals are five people from the Mumbai Metropolitan region, all of whom are accused of supplying logistical support and firearms. Two suspected shooters, Gurmail Baljit Singh, 23, and Dharmaraj Rajesh Kashyap, 19, are already in custody, while the main shooter, Shivkumar Gautam, and two other suspects involved in the conspiracy remain at large.
