New Delhi: In a fiery on-air debate, TV news anchor Rubika Liyaquat and AIMIM spokesperson Waris Pathan engaged in a heated exchange of words over their perspectives on the Israel-Hamas conflict. The clash unfolded on a talk show.
Rubika Liyaquat, who recently returned from Israel, declared her support for the country, portraying it as the victim of the October 7 attack by Hamas. Waris Pathan, however, accused her of solely standing with Israel.
Pathan asserted that he stood with the Palestinians who were allegedly massacred by Israel, labelling Israel's actions in the Gaza strip as a "genocide of Palestinians." The debate escalated as Rubika accused Pathan of supporting Hamas terrorists, leading to a heated exchange of accusations.
In a post on social media platform X, Waris Pathan shared a clip from the debate and took a dig at Rubika's coverage of the Israel War. He criticized her for allegedly roaming comfortably at night with a camera on her shoulder, creating what he referred to as "cool reels."
The confrontation reached a boiling point when Pathan accused Rubika of not caring about Muslims and labelled her a "Jew" in a moment of heightened tension.
The incident has since gained attention on social media, with supporters of both sides engaging in further debates online.
