New Delhi: In the poll bound, Gujarat's Kutch Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma used Shraddha Walker's murder as a poll campaign booster in a public rally.
Describing the grizzling details of the murder, Sarma said that Shraddha was a victim of "Love Jihad", and if people fail to elect Narendra Modi again to power at the Centre, more Aftabs will be born in every city, and the society will not be able to be secured.
Sarma, without any hesitation, said that Aftab brought Sraddha to Delhi and cut her up into 35 pieces in the name of love jihad. He kept her body in a fridge and bought another woman home to date, the CM said.
The country needed a powerful leader, who considers it their mother or "such Aftab will be born in every city, and we would not be able to protect our society", NDTV quoted him. "So, it is very important that Narendra Modi be made the PM again, for the third time, in 2024."
Aftab allegedly strangulated Shraddha four days after they moved to Delhi. An argument broke out between them over expenses and infidelity. He chopped her body into 35 pieces, stored them in a fridge and dumped them off in nearby woods over the next 18 days in the wee hours of the night, police said.
Aftab will be subjected to narco analysis in five days, NDTV reported on Saturday.
A former colleague of Shraddha, Karan, who worked with her in Mumbai, told PTI that after Shraddha was subjected to severe physical abuse, she was about to approach the police, but Aftab's parents intervened and sorted the issue between them. His parents assured her then that he would move out of her house, Karan said.
