Chennai: Police arrested a man in Chennai after he confessed to killing his lover for refusing sex.
A police squad patrolling the streets here at Kundrathur on March 19 found a man sitting with a blood stained shirt on at a bus stand.
On quizzing him the drunk man said he had killed his lover of past 5 years after she refused to have sex with him.
Raja (38) was sitting on the road at around 1 am when cops chanced up on him. He took cops to a house where they found a woman lying half-naked with stab injuries.
Raja gave the woman's name as Kannamma, who was living in a rented house. She was a casual labourer at a private company.
The incident took place on Saturday when Raja came to visit her drunk and forced her to have sex with him which she refused.
There broke out a fight between the two and after hearing her cries, neigbours intervened and sent him away.
Later at night, Raja came back to the house after everyone had slept, locked her up inside the house and stabbed her to death.
Based on his confession, Kundrathur police registered a case of murder and remanded him in judicial custody.
